A Las Vegas native,Marina Nicola boasts nearly 20 years in journalism and public relations. Currently,she is principal/partner of Vox Solid Communications. Prior to that,she handled a variety of high-profile clients,including Celine Dion’s new show at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace that debuted in March 2100,to leading numerous high-profile accounts including Caesars Palace,The Forum Shops and Tommy Bahama. Her experience spans hospitality,dining,retail,beauty and much more. Nicola also served as director of public relations for The Ritz-Carlton,Lake Las Vegas and managed international and domestic leisure and meetings media for the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority. Nicola’s career began in journalism. Years before foraying in public relations,she was an assignment editor and producer for KTVK-TV in Phoenix and KTLA-TV and KCAL-TV in Los Angeles. She has also freelanced as a print journalist for media outlets including Nevada Business Journal and In Business Las Vegas (now known as Vegas Inc.)

Erika Pope,principal/partner at Vox Solid Communications,is a 15-year resident of Las Vegas. She earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in art history from the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg,Va. and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill,respectively. She spent nearly 10 years at the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority managing publicity efforts on behalf of the Authority and the Southern Nevada leisure and business destinations it represents. Most recently,she served as principal of Candid Communications LLC,a company specializing in writing,public relations and marketing that began in 2009 and has represented clients including the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority,Las Vegas Design Center,Smart City Networks,The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas,Vegas Uncork’d by Bon Appétit and Forever Resorts. Pope’s career has also included freelance writing for local,regional and national media outlets on topics including fine art,parenting,tourism and architecture and design.
